overview
Hostvize is a personal project I designed and built to explore how a simpler property management experience could work for small hotels, resorts, and guesthouses. I took it from an initial idea to a working product, owning the product design, design system, and design engineering end-to-end.
problem
Small properties often rely on a mix of spreadsheets, OTA dashboards, WhatsApp, and manual processes. Existing PMS tools can also feel too complex and expensive for smaller teams.
challenges
The challenge was balancing power with simplicity—managing bookings, availability, pricing, guests, payments, and OTA calendars without making the interface feel overwhelming. It also needed to work well across desktop and mobile.
solution
I designed a focused PMS around the workflows small properties use every day, supported by a minimal design system with reusable components, responsive patterns, and light and dark modes. The system grew alongside the product instead of becoming a large library upfront.
