2025
overview
Designing Kaia, an AI-powered sales assistant that brings relevant context, insights and actions into customer conversations.
I worked across product thinking, UX, interaction design, prototyping and usability testing, partnering closely with product and engineering.
challenge
Sales teams already manage prospects, meetings, calls, notes, tasks and follow-ups. The challenge was not adding more AI-generated information, but making AI contextual, useful and actionable without disrupting the seller’s workflow.
approach
before
surface relevant prospect and meeting context.
during
provide useful information without distracting from the conversation.
after
turn conversations into insights, actions and follow-ups.
designing AI interactions
Rather than making AI a separate destination, we embedded intelligence directly into existing workflows. The experience answered three questions: What happened? Why does it matter? What should I do next? I explored contextual interactions, AI states, recommendations and reusable patterns that could scale across Outreach.
outcome
The work helped Kaia feel less like an additional AI tool and more like an intelligent layer within the seller’s everyday workflow. The goal was not to show more AI — it was to remove more work.
