JioFinance
Product Design + Design System
2026
My role
I worked from early-stage strategy through detailed interaction and UI design, collaborating on information architecture, discovery and end-to-end product experiences.
overview
I joined JioFinance during an early stage of the product, working with a core team of five across product strategy, experience design and execution. My work spanned Home, Loans, Finance, Tax, Explore and other financial journeys, with a focus on making the ecosystem feel connected rather than like a collection of separate products.
The challenge
As the number of modules grew, the challenge was not simply designing individual screens. We needed clear information architecture and reusable product patterns that could work across very different financial journeys, stay aligned with the JioFinance design language, and remain practical for engineering teams to build and scale.
Designing within the system
I looked for shared patterns across Home, Loans, Finance, Tax and Explore: navigation, discovery, cards, actions, content hierarchy and financial information. Rather than deviating from the design system for individual screens, we reused, composed and extended components. When a requirement could not be solved with the existing system, we treated it as a system problem instead of creating a one-off UI.
From architecture to experience
The redesigned architecture became the foundation for how people discover and navigate financial services. I defined hierarchy, interaction patterns, reusable layouts and component behaviour across key journeys, making a large financial ecosystem simpler, more predictable and easier to navigate as new products were introduced.
Outcome
The work established a shared design foundation across JioFinance. Home, Loans, Tax, Explore and other modules could feel like parts of the same product, supported by patterns that help the experience and the design system scale together.
